Honest

Baltimore’s Gabe Acheson, AKA Goldwash, is an artist who’s been catching fire recently for his avant-garde blend of existential funk music. Throughout 2016 this guy has been polishing his silky smooth jazz stylings and the result is nothing but quality. After making waves on BBCR1 with future funk tracks such as “But U Won’t” and “Need To Hear,” the 21 year old musician is back with another hit, “Honest.”

The track’s a slow jam that sports the sweet vocals we’ve come to expect from the artist, alongside a groove inducing bass line that promises to have you feeling the funk. Seeing as this guy’s been gaining a ton of momentum as of late, definitely check the tune out and keep an eye on Goldwash going forward!

Need To Hear [NESTHQ Premiere]

Born Gabe Acheson, Goldwash is a 21-year old composer, singer-songwriter, and producer out of Baltimore.  A classical and jazz-trained pianist, he brings his own unique concoction of existential funk.  Having already caught the eye of Jamz Supernova (“Malady” was premiered on BBCR1 on her show) and Roche Musique, he is now poised to introduce his dynamic and cohesive sound to a worldwide audience in 2016.

“Need To Hear” is already his third single this year. Drawing from a multitude of influences, and premiered on BBCR1 by Australia’s finest tastemaker Anna Lunoe, the record is strong and will definitely receive heavy rotation in my playlists. Don’t sleep and enjoy his latest offering.

Malady

Goldwash is one of our favorite new artists. Born Gabe Acheson, Goldwash is a 21-year old composer, singer-songwriter, and producer out of Baltimore. A classical and jazz-trained pianist, Goldwash brings his own unique concoction of existential funk. Having already caught the eye of Jamz Supernova (“Malady” was premiered on BBCR1 on her show) and Roche Musique, Goldwash is poised to introduce his dynamic and cohesive sound to a worldwide audience in 2016. “Malady” is his second single of 2016.

Here’s a few words he had to say about the piece. “Lyrically, ‘Malady’ is about a mutually destructive relationship, about witnessing two friends make mistakes. Overall, I hope the song is the kind where you can happily sing along for a while before realizing that maybe something darker is going on.” This sonic treat is an incredible audible masterpiece. Please don’t sleep on the creator of “Existential Funk”. Enjoy!
