[Future Funk] GRiZ- For The Love (Feat. Talib Kweli)

GRiZ
For The Love (feat. Talib Kweli)

Still in the early stages of building an internal family, GRiZ and the team over at All Good Records are excitedly preparing for his new album, Say It Loud. Available March 31st, AGR will team up with BitTorrent for its distribution, joining fellow musicians like Thom Yorke and Madonna to utilize the platform. Say It Loud will also be available via all major digital retailers and services for those of you traditional purchasers.

His latest offering ‘For The Love’ is another Future Funk gem and is notably blessed by the legendary Talib Kweli! Both artists have always been conscious creators and their combined energy on this track extends way beyond. “Say It Loud is an album that took me all around the United States recording sounds from funk jam sessions to children’s choirs, trumpet solos in the forest to saxophone lines in the boiler room of my house – it is an album for everyone,” said GRiZ, “This music is meant to be experienced, danced to, sang along with, felt… that’s what it’s all about.” His jam-packed tour itinerary includes headliners at The Tabernacle, Terminal 5, The Wiltern and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, alongside festival gigs at Hangout, Lightning In A Bottle, Movement & Mysteryland to name a few.

A Fine Way To Die Ft. Orlando Napier

After a year of craziness, GRiZ is back with a new original single ‘A Fine Way To Die’ featuring the vocals of Orlando Napier. A whole year to make one song you say? Don’t be quick to judge that, this isn’t any song, and let’s not forget he was working as half of Grizmatik for the past year. This song took a lot of blood, sweat, and well, GRiZ. Between recording horn lines, drums, writing guitar lines, and recording the most killin’ vocals, you can see why this jamming jazzy piece took a little love and a lot of funk. Following in GRiZ fashion, this single is electric, with a mix of electronic melodies, horns for days, and base that carries the upbeat and slow beats through out the whole song. GRiZ is one young music fiend and we always look forward to this young man with an old music soul taking us all the way to the blues and back again. His new album drops this spring and we cannot wait for what is sure to be a magical music experience.
