[TMN Premiere] Parra For Cuva ft. Anna Naklab – Wicked Games (Kid Arkade Remix)

Parra For Cuva ft. Anna Naklab
Wicked Games (Kid Arkade Remix)

Kid Arkade- the anonymous collective recently snapped up by Ultra Music- who first graced the pages of TMN with their energetic big-room original “Atlas Run” have returned to unveil yet another premiere to the Ninja Nation. This time, Kid Arkade takes on Parra For Cuva‘s “Wicked Games” (which itself is a pseudo-cover of the ultra sexy Chris Isaak single) and rolls the tune directly into the heart of frenetic stadium sized dancefloors.  The remix kicks off almost instantaneously with an utterly fattened kick-drum, energy fueling pads and dynamically powerful synth progression before unleashing a gargantuan bassline which is sure to work the boogie out of its listeners. If you’re in need of a id-week pick-me-up, Kid Arkade more than hits the spot with this revision. Strap on your sweatbands and let’s add a little wiggle to your Wednesday.

[Deep House] Nick Jonas – Jealous (Ugo Remix)

Having only dropped his sensual and funky track “Jealous,” which is rapidly gaining momentum, this past September, Nick Jonas’ solo career seems to be off to a pretty nice start. Seeing as he’s signed to Universal Music Group’s Island Records, we are all very excited to see what he has in store for us with his forthcoming album. While we anticipate its release, we have been fortunate to receive some pretty outstanding remixes of what is to be included on the album. Thus far, one of our favorites is Ugo’s rendition of “Jealous.” He takes on a much darker perspective, cranking up the sex-factor with hypnotic percussion and going heavy on the harmony. To put it simply, Ugo transforms the catchy tune into a night club anthem guaranteed to turn a venue into a sauna.

[Future Trap] BANKS – Drowning (Stwo Remix)

BANKS
Drowning (Stwo Remix)

There is nothing more exciting than anticipating new music from Stwo. The French producer is renowned for transforming tracks into gold and, with his latest release, he certainly does not disappoint. Reworking “Drowning” by the LA lovechild BANKS, Stwo has once again proven that he is the remix king. Going with a minimalist trap beat, Jillian Banks’s vocals shine mixing perfectly with the ominous, emotionally-driven tune. Stwo definitely elevated the listening experience by throwing in his signature elements. He is so good at curating songs to remix that it’s easy to mistake his renditions for the originals.

Sharing is caring, and Stwo has always been extremely generous with giving out free music. Make sure to grab a free download via his SoundCloud here, and catch the him on a stop of his North American tour with Snakehips. Trust us, you do not want to miss out!

[Chill] Still Parade – Actors (Dinnerdate Remix)

Still Parade
Actors (Dinnerdate Remix)

There are some music lovers out there who just melt when it comes to slow, dreamy songs that ooze indie vibes and echo longing voices of lyrical ambiguity.  Then there are some who can appreciate the sentiment, but need a little more oomph before they can fully warm up to the feel the song is going for. For those of us in the second category, we have talented artists like Dinnerdate to help us out, with an ear for the right original to work their magic over, opening it up to an entirely new audience with their own musical preferences.

The beauty in this remix, other than the obvious elegance of the sound itself, is the fact that it caters to listeners in both of those categories, staying true enough to the original to satisfy this fan-base, but also working in its own touch for those craving a rhythmic beat to go with their serving of indie goodness. It’s the perfect balance of both worlds, and the perfect way for one of our favorite artists to break his period of relative silence over the last few months. For those wanting even more, there should be plenty more in the works from this name before the year is out. This will certainly help to tide us over until then.
