[Denver Giveaway] Worthy – NORAD Dance Bar, 1/24

We’ve been consuming everything San Francisco based booty-house connoisseur Worthy has been lacing up as of late, which is why we are thrilled to announce our certified TMN ticket giveaway for the Dirtybird and Anabatic Records mainstay. This Friday, January 24th, Worthy brings a unique blend of what he describes as being “future booty house; a unique subgenre of bass, techno and twerk” to the Mile High City with opening duties from Denver based Action 52 & Uncle Buck, and we were more than happy to partner up to give away a pair of tickets to the show. In just the short year since Thomas Jack debuted his single “The Final Speech”, a track we had the pleasure of premiering, the musically-mature-beyond-his-years producer has been akin to a torrential downpour of success, registering now 8 singles to hold down a coveted #1 spot on the almighty Hype Machine charts. As that signature Thomas Jack tropical house sound has been leaking into the mainstream, it was time the young Australian brought his live show for an American tour, and our collective group of Ninjas have decided to let our Denver family in on the fun too! Thomas Jack’s tour rolls through Denver this Friday, November 22 at NORAD Dance Bar for their weekly HOME Denver party, and we thought this was a great time to give back to you loyal readers with a ticket giveaway. This Friday marks the Colorado debut of Thomas Jack, and likely the last time he will play at such an intimate venue, so do yourself a favor and get your behind over there even if this giveaway doesn’t go your way.

[Event Preview] Toro Y Moi + Classixx (Live) at The Ogden Theatre – Denver, CO – 11/6/13

Fresh off the heels of one of our favorite albums of 2013 thus far and his third full-length under the Toro Y Moi moniker, Anything In Return, Chaz Bundick’s Berkeley-via-South Carolina music project once again touches down in Denver, CO at The Ogden Theatre this Wednesday, November 6 for what looks to be an amazing night also featuring L.A.’s rising house music heartthrobs Classixx and their new live show. Not one to be pigeonholed into any single genre, each of Toro Y Moi’s respective releases have been far and away a different animal than the previous, using structural production elements from pop, indie, garage, chillwave, house and more to result into one of our favorite live acts around and a can’t miss for our TMN family.

Rounding out the amazing bill is aforementioned production duo, Classixx, who are also riding the waves of momentum from a sonically captivating debut long-player of their own which was actually many years in the making, Hanging Gardens. Classixx brings their new live performance with them after years as touring DJ’s and they are already welcome faces to the Denver dance scene after delivering solid performances in 2013 at both the Norad Dance Bar and The Ogden; so we expect a raucous crowd to begin piling in as soon as doors are opened.
