Captain Cuts – Love Like We Used To (TxM Remix) [TMN Premiere]

TxM
Love Like We Used To (TxM Remix)

Another day, another premiere. This time we have the debut single from TxM, a remix of “Love Like We Used To” by Captain Cuts. The California band got a makeover from one of Minnesota’s own.

TxM swayed us with his moombah-pop sound. There was no way we weren’t going to jump on such a lively, vivacious single whose tropical sound is coming just at the right time. Summer needs hits like this, but don’t expect them all to come from big name producers. TxM may soon establish himself as a much talked about up and comer if his next releases are as good as this first one. In honor of kicking off this new project, TxM has released the song as a free download.

Mksmth – No Sleep feat. Plænet Wün [TMN Premiere]

NO SLEEP Feat PLANET WÜN

If you lose those precious Z’s from this premiere, we’re sorry. Mksmth‘s new single “No Sleep” will keep you up all night with its pleasureful pop sound. The artist’s collaboration with Plænet Wün is the first original release and we’re proud to present it here first in the dojo!

“No Sleep” kicks things into gear with a strong vocal performance that sets the tone for the rest of the song, as is for many pop hits. However, this dance-pop hybrid isn’t so straightforward as it sports a focus on the instrumental with a “drop” and subsequent phase whose goal is solely to get you moving. Mksmth and Plænet Wün work magnificently well together, with their sounds blending without blemishes. The subtle moombah flavor added to the mix does make for a nice touch as well. Get your first listen to “No Sleep” today and stay tuned for more music from both acts later this year.

[Moombahton] Munchi – Guess Who’s Back

Munchi
Guess Who's Back

MUNCHI IS BACK. That’s all that really needs to be said, as Munchi is one of those legendary figures that literally everyone should know. It’s been way too long since his last release, but great things come in due time and the time for Munchi is now. His single “Guess Who’s Back” has him bringing his classic moombahton sound back to the table.

“Guess Who’s Back” has been released on Selegna Records. Whether you believe it or not, this song was actually made five years ago, but the timing of its release couldn’t be more appropriate. No matter where the moombahton scene is at – which is debated – the return of Munchi is a great sign. With this new single, hopefully it brings some other great moombah tracks out of the woodwork. If there was only one song you could buy in all of 2017, “Guess Who’s Back” would need to be it. Do so today through Bandcamp.
