Birocratic – Formula Fun [TMN Video Premiere]

On May 4th, the New York beet maker Birocratic will be dropping his EP, Beets 3. Leading up to the release he has put up two singles, “Favela Beat” and “Formula Fun,” the latter of which has an official video that is premiering right here in the dojo.

“Formula Fun” is a smooth, jazzy beat that Birocratic plays out live for all to see in this video. It’s short and sweet, leaving us wanting just a little bit more when its all said and done. For those of you in his area, he has a show at Muchmore’s on May 12th, after the EP has been released. His catchy style will leave your ears satisfied, so if he already has you convinced, you can go ahead and pre-order the EP.

There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind – festival season is upon us, and we’re god damn excited.

Profanities aside, there are only a few outlets that allow people to escape their daily routine to enter a fantasy world for a weekend and become anyone they want to be. The mystical festival of TomorrowWorld definitely falls on this list.

In addition to three days enjoying some of the best electronic music in the galaxy, TomorrowWorld also permits festival-goers to camp on the grounds in the town of DreamVille. Attached to the festival grounds, this camp hosts 40,000 international crazed dance music fans for four nights of non-stop partying. From morning Yoga/Workout classes to an incredible array of market shops to the perfect pre-party – The Gathering, it’s hard to compare DreamVille to anything else. You can rough it and and bring your own tent to camp out in, or you can be go in style (which is what we would probably do) in TomorrowWorld-fixed Easy Tents or Dream Lodges.

Earlier today,TomorrowWorld released an epic video to give fans a better sense of what DreamVille is, but let’s be honest, it doesn’t even give justice to the real thing.

Our friend at Punk Ass Bitch posted this a couple of days ago and it has a slow starts, it evolves into a clusterphuck of animated shapes and forms creating the trippiest non-drug related experience. As having done minor animation in the past, this frame by frame based film done by German studio Film Builder is just awesome.

Lets be honest, doing the weather might be an interesting job but it is really hard to sound exciting when your audience is sleepy and grumpy people that are just waking up. Luckily for some, they not only get an accurate analysis of the weather forecast but they are blessed with a weather man that can spit enough fire to warm their cup of coffee in the morning. Where is this weather man from? I wanna move there! We need to get him some Kanye glasses.
