Hoody Time – KNOCK [TMN Premiere]

Hoody Time
KNOCK

The New Zealand resident hip-hop head Hoody Time is back in the dojo. To kick off the end of the week we’re presenting his newest single “KNOCK” in this premiere. Not only do we have that, but we have a little bonus content for you from camp Hoody Time.

“KNOCK” is a fun track even by Hoody Time standards. He always cooks up off-the-wall tracks that are lively and exciting, but here he gets a bit “goofy” as he states in his own words. The track was produced by Public, aka Justin Manas the former drummer of Stray From The Path. Hoody Time is always a good time, as you’ll see from “KNOCK” as well as the music video for his single “Backpack.” Take some time to experience each and stay tuned for more from Hoody Time!

Hoody Time is living the dream. After relocating to Los Angeles, the emcee relocated once more to Middle Earth aka New Zealand. Since he started out he’s been one of our favorite hip-hoppers and he’s not fallen off yet and we don’t see that happening any time soon.

Last year he released several singles, one of which was “The New Everything” that now has a music video. We’ve got that for you here today. Contrasting between a classy, refined visual tone and a bright, colorful one, this video plays with the eyes in a unique way without going over-the-top. It’s actually quite simple, following Hoody Time on a stroll as he delivers the heat. If you’d like a copy of “The New Everything” then you can grab it from iTunes today.

Hoody Time keeps the cool tunes rolling out with his new single “Jawn.” Hip-hop’s pineapple king dishes out a smooth original that features 184 rhymes in just under five minutes, as well as a sample that some Harry Potter fans just might recognize.

Sure, there’s more to it than those things, and those other parts are equally as delectable. “Jawn” showcases Hoody Time’s cool rhyme schemes that have taken fans by surprise. Ever since launching the project, his artistry has been without fault. Whether it’s atop a dance instrumental, or a hot beat like this, Hoody always manages to entertain with wit, as well as charm. With all these singles, we can expect it’s building up to something special. We can only bet it will be as sweet as the pineapple’s that Hoody’s image is tied to. For now, grab a copy of “Jawn” through iTunes.

Hoody Time – …to be reckoned with (Official Music Video) [TMN Premiere]

Los Angles emcee Hoody Time is bringing more than just any old rap project to the internet. He’s bring ripe beats, hot lyrics (actual lyrics, not just mumbling) and art to anyone who’s willing to dive into this rich chasm of creation. He’s already released an EP, a handful of collaborations, and now he’s here with a massive music video for his single “…to be reckoned with” that you will view first here in the dojo.

After watching this music video for the first time, we knew we had to jump on it for a premiere. There’s so much going on in it, you’re going to have to watch it at least a few times before you catch everything. Technically, it’s a lyric video, but it’s much more that just that. Hoody Time went a head and put together a true visual art piece that took a ton of time and effort. The result is worth it, as it expresses Hoody’s brand and creative direction nearly perfectly, if not perfect. From memes, to snacks, to movies, to games, you’ll find a bit of everything packed into this extraordinary video.

[Hip-Hop/Rap] Hoody Time – The Hotness EP

One of hip-hops newer face, Hoody Time, is on a path to make his dreams come true. His new location of LA is just where he needs to be as he makes moves to get his name out in the open. He’s already started, and recently came out with his debut EP, The Hotness, that is beginning to turn some heads.

The Hotness is a collection of six singles that exemplify the emcee’s creative edge. Some of the tracks, including “The New Everything” and “Supreme Illitude” have that old-school flare that lovers of classic hip-hop will jive to. Other records like “Abandon” and “Little Dreamer” get more into the alternative meets independent sound that calls for skills that go beyond just making any old rap tune. Hoody Time is establishing himself as a true artist, with The Hotness being his first extended example of that. Look for him to release more singles in the future, under his own name, as well as through crossover collaborations. The Hotness is currently available for purchase on iTunes.
