[Electro House] Wolfgang Gartner & JayKode – The Upside Down

Everything that has to do with “The Upside Down” is on point. From its creators – a mega collaboration between Wolfgang Gartner and Jaykode – to the song itself to the artwork; everything comes together in a nice ravaging package.

“The Upside Down” implores some throwback electro house characteristics while each artist playfully infuses their own sentiments in the mix. From the start it’s a big record and it only grows as it develops in time. There’s a little surprise, you’ll have to just hear it though. Play it all the way and more than once – this one is fire through and through.

[Trap] JayKode – Roll Out

JayKode
Roll Out

JayKode is on fire, plain and simple. The same can be said for Buygore Records who recently released the LA producer’s single “Roll Out.” This genre-bending original is our favorite JayKode single yet, which is saying a lot given his impressive catalog.

“Roll Out” has everything I love in a record: bass, piano and dembow. This twerk-centric heater is just what the dance community needs as festival season approaches. JayKode’s sound design ability sticks out to us in this one, but the great thing is he doesn’t rely solely on that to make a good song. His songwriting skills are top notch, which shouldn’t come as a surprise from a creator who fuses bass music with, of all things, classical music. “Roll Out” is currently out now, so get your copy from the digital service of your choice.

[Trap] JayKode X Party Thieves – Origin

JayKode X Party Thieves
Origin

JayKode and Party Thieves are two of dance music’s premiere producers, and they have recently come together to prove without a doubt that they mean business. Together they turn up an aggressive original called “Origin,” a hybrid trap anthem that takes the best of both dubstep and trapstyle and mixes them into one incredible production. “Origins” also has classical elements worked into its ripe soundscapes for a complete and udder beast of a record. Buygore Records got their hands on this release, as it is right up their alley.

2016 is going to be filled with some high quality songs, but at the end of the year, don’t be surprised when this one sticks around. JayKode and Party Thieves, we thank you for this work, and we love you. The next drink we have will certainly be for your excellence. And the next time we turn up, this will definitely be one of the first tracks we throw on. For fans that want to take this monstrosity home with them like we did, head over to Beatport.
