[Trap] LEViT∆TE. – Mecca 002

LEViT∆TE. is back at it with the second episode of his album unveiling. Mecca is due out in full on November 7th, but during the weeks prior we get our hands on a few new singles. Last week episode one came out, so if you missed that, be sure to check it after you run through the current episode below.

The next batch of three tracks may even be more impressive than the first, which is hard to top. LEViT∆TE. doesn’t hold back any time he gets into the studio. Not only is he a unique creator, but his technical abilities when it comes to producing are just insane. How he manages to get things sounding so nasty, yet so clean is far beyond me. Just take the first track “RED” as an example. Every sound feels so saturated, giving it that exciting edge that is almost exclusive to his music, yet it’s not abrasive in the slightest for this type of music.

With “Run” you get that same edge, but it is applied to a more twerk-friendly composition. Lastly, we have “Act 2” featuring Zuse. This two part trap heater is more than a single, it’s a journey within itself. As it was with episode one, all tracks from this group are currently available for free through the individual players.

[Trap] LEViT∆TE. – Mecca 001

Over the course of the next few weeks, LEViT∆TE. will be teasing fans with episodes of his full length album Mecca. You might be wondering what exactly an episode is, but basically the Seattle producer will be dropping three tracks together each week for four weeks.

This week’s batch is the first. In kicking off the launch of Mecca, LEViT∆TE. starts out with “Check It,” a dark plunge into what the rest of the album will bring. “Jungle” comes next with a sound that I have yet to hear before; at least, not at this level of quality. The third single in this episode of Mecca is “Terrible Things” feature Macntaj. The hybrid trap single is more what fans of LEViT∆TE. have been used to, but he still manages to take his signature a step further. Stream all three singles today, and grab the free downloads one at a time through the single players!

[Trap/Dubstep]Holly X LEViT∆TE – Heavyweight EP

If you don’t know The Block Society, you better get to familiarizing yourself with their crew. One of the boys who is a part of their familial team is the talented producer LEViT∆TE. If you don’t know LEViT∆TE, you better get to familiarizing yourself with him and his catalog, starting with his most recent release, the Heavyweight EP, a collaborative project created alongside Holly.

After you hear this EP, you’ll understand why LEViT∆TE scored a collaboration with the almighty Bassnectar. This cat, and Holly, devised three hybrid singles that will blow the roof off any venue, anywhere. “They Don’t” is the introductory track that comes with some industrial vibes that are juxtaposed with grinding basses and dripping wet synth hits. The title track finds itself in the middle with its high capacity for jaw-dropping low frequencies. It’s style is similar to the first single, but when we get to the closing track, things move in a bit of a different direction. “Caliper” was released a few months ago as a single, and finds itself as the last song on Heavyweight. Although it deserves a spot on the project, the composition is a bit more unconventional than the previous singles. Check out all three below, and try to pick a favorite. Word of warning: choosing a favorite is going to be a harder task than you think.

[Hybrid/Trap] Justin Hartinger & LEViT∆TE. – Darknet EP

If you’re not all about The Block Society, you better get it together. Their roster includes some of the dopest bass heads in the game, including LEViT∆TE. who put together an EP with Seattle’s Justin Hartinger for the Atlanta based collective. Their Darknet EP may just be the sickest project that has come out this week.

Justin and LEViT∆TE. collaborated on three tracks for this project, whose hip-hop infused electronic beats vary in style, but not in quality. Every song on here is fire through and through. They start off with “Entity,” whose progression from beginning to end is nothing but incredible. The dark and groovy single “Gunshot” comes next with its twerk sensibilities. Be sure to have some nice booties around when you play this one, because they will be shaking. The title track closes out the project with its own unique sound that shows why these two producers are some of the most creative on the scene. If you would like to purchase Darknet, you may do so through Bandcamp.
