[Electronic] CLEW feat. Prov – Tarzan

At TMN, we get a bit selective about the music we share on Sundays. Considering it is a day of relaxation for many of us, it is also a day for preparation. In the simplest of words, we probably use 3/4ths of the day to unwind before we reluctantly bring ourselves to confront that Monday is only a few hours away. As a result, we like to choose music that takes on both the characteristics of soothing and motivating. This evening, we’re bringing you a tune that falls flawlessly into this description.

Hailing from the windy city of Chicago, CLEW makes his debut on TMN with his single, “Tarzan,” which features fellow producer, Prov. As the lead single off his forthcoming project, an EP titled “Get a Clue,” “Tarzan” carries the sound that establishes CLEW’s identity.

Influenced by hip hop and electronic components, “Tarzan” is shaped by an infectious percussion line of tribal drums, smooth guitar riffs, and catchy vocal chops of CLEW’s rich vocals. The breakout single offers both vitality and ease, making it the perfect track to end your Sunday night to.

The Music Ninja first caught wind of DROELOE with the release of the duo’s mesmerizing single, “zZz.” Shortly after, we came to learn they were part of none other than San Holo’s label, bitbird, when he showcased their talents in his label’s first ever EP release “Gouldian Finch.”

With the Dutch artists indefinitely on our radars, we made sure to catch their latest tune “Shibuya.” DROELOE takes listeners into Tokyo through a piece that blends the forward thinking of electronic music with the classic sound of Asian instrumentals. Designing the track with layers of narrow plucking synths and imitations of string instrumentals, they create a product that not only resembles the title’s Japanese origin, but presents the authenticity of their work.

20 year old Swedish producer Kasbo is set to have a big second half of 2016. He’s just released his version of The Temper Trap’s “Fall Together” and is back at it with the official remix of “Monument” by MUTEMATH. Once again, the young producer has shown his abilities to re-create tracks from their core. Here he’s implanted lush, rolling melodies slowing down the original’s tempo while introducing reconstructed, glitchy vocals coming together for a gracefully produced drop.

His “World Away” single released on ODESZA’s Foreign Family label has millions of digital streams and is his biggest song to date since release last fall when he supported them on their US tour. I’ve had this tune stuck on repeat and shared with a lot of my friends. As we venture into the tail end of 2016 don’t take your eyes off this rising artist.

SIVIK’s new song, “Last Night” is a testament to the Nashville-based artist’s incredible vocal skills and song writing abilities. We’ve seen this artist before with the hits off his last 5-track album, “Spring Collection.” (If you haven’t already, I recommend you check out the album’s big single, “High.”) The EP was absolutely stunning and extremely well received, so I was excited to see new material in the works.
